Charleston Daily Mail September 2, 2014

This sports section has a lot of copy but it is laid out in a way that makes it easy for the reader to read. However, in the Trickett story, there is not enough space between each line and it could be difficult to read, especially for older eyes. Usually when you think of a sports page you think of a lot of visual and it is different seeing so much content even on the front page of the section. There is too much space in the headline for “Turn out the lights.” Therefore the font could be made bigger or it could be turned into a one column headline. The lead is also confusing in this story as well. The pictures, however, are great throughout this section but they are a little bit small. Over all, this section has a lot of useful and interesting information for sports readers and it will keep them reading.
